Job summary

Surcheros is seeking an Assistant Manager for a fast casual Tex-Mex restaurant in Mount Juliet, TN. You will anchor or boost the restaurant’s career growth by leading staff, driving profitability, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strong interpersonal and business management skills, with a focus on team development, operational efficiency, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a minimum of 9 hours per day.
• Flexible availability - 2 opens, 2 closes and a mid each week.
• Minimum 2 years Quick Casual or Quick Service Restaurant management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all personnel on each shift, including Crew Members and Prep Cooks.
• Inventory management: the management of food costs.
• Ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks and checklists are completed.
• Hiring and scheduling staff to provide quality guest experience while managing labor and costs.
• Balance daily cash drawers, safe and credit cards.
• Operate the store to meet or exceed budgeted operating goals.
• Ensure that product quality standards are met.
• Lead a team and coach performance.
• Provide best guest service and welcome guests.
• Set high standards for guests and ensure adherence.
• Provide knowledge, guidance, and training to team members to exceed guest expectations with fast, friendly service in clean surroundings.
• Address and resolve guest complaints quickly and with a smile.
• Maximize profits by optimizing P&L and other financials.
• Manage inventory, labor costs, and overall financial controls.
• Maintain overall accountability of the restaurant.

When Luke Christian left his rural South Georgia home for college, he never imagined that one day he would come home to open a restaurant. Bringing together big taste and bold flavors with the Southern hospitality of his youth, Luke opened his first restaurant in Douglas, GA during 2007, serving freshly prepared Tex-Mex favorites.
Surcheros quickly became a community favorite, a place where they remembered your order and your name. It wasn’t long before others heard about this concept and desired one to open in their town. Luke, and his beautiful wife, Nicole, began to dream big and shared a vision of expansion.
In 2017, franchising Surcheros restaurants began with a complete remodel and updated branding, while staying true to their original convictions. By the end of 2020, Surcheros had quickly grown to 18 locations, with plans to build a flagship restaurant and corporate headquarters in Alpharetta, GA.
Based on this idea, and a desire to become a nationally visible brand, Luke and Nicole moved their family to Alpharetta, where they currently reside. They are so excited to continue their success, expanding the reach of Surcheros to North Georgia. Luke, Nicole and the entire Surcheros family cannot wait to serve the Alpharetta community and many, many more.
