Destination Pet is hiring an Assistant Manager for Pups at Play Montclair in Montclair, NJ. The role reports to the General Manager and includes managing staff, delivering exceptional customer service, and coordinating with support teams.

Typical duties include staff scheduling, payroll oversight, training, enforcing policies, and promoting company programs while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for pets and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year management experience in hospitality, service or retail environments.
• Excellent oral presentation, writing and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
• Experience in problem-solving and handling customer service situations.
• Veterinary, boarding and/or grooming experience is a plus.
