White House | Black Market, Inc. in Metairie, LA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team and delivering a seamless, customer‑centered experience. The role focuses on hospitality, community engagement, and developing associates to reflect our brand standards.

You will help manage daily store operations, oversee inventory and replenishment, and drive financial goals while maintaining an inclusive, welcoming environment for both associates and customers.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of retail management experience (preferred).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the financial goals of the store and motivate the team.
• Assist in the hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
• Take ownership to ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and execution of inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.

You'll bring to the role

• Passion for our brand, fashion, and empowering confidence.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
