Job Location: Merrillville - Merrillville, IN 46410. Salary Range: $18.00 hourly.

At Planet Fitness, we create a welcoming and non-intimidating environment for all. We’re currently looking for a motivated and positive Assistant Manager to help lead our team and deliver exceptional service to every member who walks through our doors.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations and club oversight
• Help train, coach, and develop a high-performing team
• Assist with scheduling and supervision
• Identify and resolve member and team member issues, escalating when needed
• Track performance metrics and ensure team accountability
• Lead by example, actively participating in daily team member responsibilities
• Maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere for members and guests
• Ensure the club remains clean, organized, and fully operational

What We’re Looking For:

• Positive, upbeat attitude with strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Dependable, honest, and professional demeanor
• Basic computer proficiency
• CPR/AED certified (otherwise, we will provide certification)
• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (fitness experience a plus)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, and communicate with members throughout your shift
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must help maintain overall club cleanliness

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Either Saturday OR Sunday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
