Job summary

Subway in Luling, Louisiana is looking for an Assistant Manager to join their team. You'll focus on providing excellent guest experiences and ensuring that food is prepared and served to high standards. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the restaurant.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and restaurant experience, preferably in a supervisory role. This position allows for full-time and part-time shifts, with various hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

• Providing an excellent Guest experience
• Ensuring that great food is prepared & served
• Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful
• Controlling inventoryScheduling and supervising staff
• Maintaining standards of restaurant safety and security
• Being a team player

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

Essential Functions

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
