Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily restaurant operations in Indiana. You will focus on guest experience, food quality, safety, and team supervision while maintaining cleanliness and inventory control.

The role includes staff scheduling, training for events/promotions, and collaboration with the team to ensure smooth shifts across day, evening, and weekend periods.

• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent Guest experience and ensure great food is prepared and served.
• Keep the restaurant functional, clean and safe.

• Maintain standards of restaurant safety and security.
• Be a team player and support events and promotions when needed.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
