POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager provides strategic oversight of the agronomy operations and promote the growth of Agtegra’s agronomy business, with a focus on safety, compliance and customer service. This work would include assisting with customer relationships, budgeting, profit and loss stewardship, and managing staff. Carries out supervisory functions in accordance with applicable laws and Agtegra's policies and safety culture.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assisting with the sales of agronomy products and services, maintaining inventory, coordinating with accounting, and communicating with customers in regards to payments, payment options, credit policy, and agreements.

  • Executing processes and operating machinery and equipment as required, including loading out chemical, seed or fertilizer. This position involves the frequent operation of Payloaders, Skidloaders, Tractor/Mowers, Locomotives, Telehandlers and Forklifts.

  • Inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by the facility to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.

  • Interacting regularly with customers, peers, and management to provide exceptional customer service, pursue continuous improvement of facility operations, and promote a teamwork focused environment.

  • Coach and motivate team members to meet performance standards through coaching, feedback, goal setting, communicating and maintaining fair and consistent application of policies and practices.

  • Provide leadership in managing team performance, including setting measurable goals, tracking metrics, and holding employees accountable.

  • Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate's degree (A. A.) and 1-5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • English Proficiency

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.

  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
