What You’ll do
The Assistant Store Manager oversees inventory management, associate leadership, and customer engagement. Your strategic decision-making, team cultivation, and operational excellence are critical to our store’s success.
- Foster a positive, inclusive work environment promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandise displays to optimize sales and customer satisfaction.
- Make impactful decisions regarding hiring, coaching, performance management, and terminations.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify development areas, and recognize achievements.
- Set clear expectations and hold associates accountable, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Champion exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, resolving inquiries, and enhancing their shopping experience.
- Coach and train associates on customer engagement to ensure high performance.
- Address negative customer experiences by defusing situations and empowering your team to resolve issues.
- Report regularly to the Store Manager on departmental performance, associate progress, and operational issues.
- Ensure store compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Align operational procedures with company policies and legal regulations.
- Drive company initiatives such as the customer engagement model, RK Visa Card, and RK Plus Protection Plan.
- Supervise firearm transaction procedures, including proper disposal when designated.
- Conduct audits for compliance in sales, cash handling, inventory, firearms, and security protocols.
- Analyze shrinkage data, identify trends, and implement loss prevention measures.
- Lead the team with autonomy, judgment, and discretion to meet or exceed store goals.
- Participate in cross-training for departmental flexibility.
- Use discretion and maintain confidentiality in daily decisions.
- Engage in learning initiatives like training programs, workshops, and webinars to stay current.
- Provide professional support to internal and external stakeholders.
