Wendy's — Fayetteville / Greenland, AR is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help launch a new store and run it day to day. You will lead shifts, supervise line work, and be ready to step in for the General Manager to ensure guests receive high‑quality service.

This hands‑on role requires strong leadership, unit‑level P&L awareness, and a commitment to food safety and hospitality standards. Salary starts at $40k, plus quarterly bonuses and growth potential.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in quick‑service/fast‑casual settings.
• Experience running shifts solo: opening, closing, cash handling, leading a crew of 6–12.
• Comfortable working the line and performing hands‑on duties.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or ability to earn within 30 days (cost covered).
• 18+ with reliable transportation; pass a background check.
• Basic computer skills: scheduling, inventory, and POS systems.

Responsabilidades

• Handle cash: drawer counts, deposits, audits, and variance follow‑up.
• Own guest experience on shifts; promptly resolve complaints per Wendy's hospitality standards.
• Keep the store audit‑ready: food safety, health dept, OSHA, and QSC standards.
• Complete shift paperwork and report daily sales and labor to GM.
• Act as GM in the GM’s absence with full accountability for store results.

About the role

We're opening a new Wendy's in Fayetteville and need an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager build the team, open the store, and run it right from day one. This is a hands-on leadership job: you'll run shifts, lead crew on the line, and own results when the GM isn't in the building.

RFG Foods is a locally owned Wendy's franchisee based in Northwest Arkansas. We're small enough that you'll work directly with ownership, and growing — strong assistant managers here are first in line for General Manager roles as we open more restaurants.

What you'll do

• Run shifts as the manager in charge: open and close the restaurant, set the pace, and keep service times, food quality, and cleanliness on standard

• Work the line alongside your crew during peaks — drive‑thru, grill, sandwich, front counter — and step in wherever the shift needs you

• Hire, train, and coach crew members and shift leads; run new‑hire onboarding and Wendy's certification training

• Write and manage schedules to the labor plan, and adjust staffing in real time to sales

• Control food cost: place orders, receive and verify deliveries, manage inventory counts, and track and reduce waste

• Handle cash: drawer counts, deposits, safe audits, and cash‑variance follow‑up

• Own the guest experience on your shifts — resolve complaints on the spot, and hold the team to Wendy's hospitality standards

• Keep the restaurant audit‑ready: food safety (ServSafe), health department requirements, OSHA, and Wendy's QSC standards

• Complete shift paperwork, review daily sales and labor reports, and communicate results to the GM

• Act as General Manager when the GM is off, with full accountability for the restaurant

What we're looking for

Required

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience (assistant manager, shift manager, or equivalent) in quick‑service or fast‑casual

• Experience running shifts solo: opening, closing, cash handling, and leading a crew of 6-12

• Comfortable working the line — this is a working‑manager role, not an office job

• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

• ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification, or able to earn it within 30 days (we'll cover the cost)

• 18 years or older with reliable transportation; must pass a background check

• Basic computer skills: scheduling, inventory, and POS systems

Preferred

• Wendy's or other national QSR brand experience

• Experience hiring and training new crews, especially in a new‑store opening

• Working knowledge of food cost, labor cost, and P&L basics

• Live in or near Washington County, AR

Physical requirements: Stand and walk for full shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a kitchen environment with heat, cold, and noise.
