Dallas Swim Kids in Dallas, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations and drive enrollment. You will lead staff, ensure safety, deliver exceptional service to families, and partner with the Chief of Staff to achieve business goals.

The ideal candidate will develop people, maintain a high-energy, safe learning environment, and balance operational duties with team leadership and strategic objectives for the swim school.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse groups.
• Passion for swimming and aquatic education; prior swim instruction required.
• Experience in a swim school or aquatics program in supervisory or training role.
• Knowledge of swim instruction techniques and curriculum delivery for children.
• Mentoring and developing others.
• CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support daily operations in a safe, clean environment for families and staff.
• Coach, train, and develop swim instructors, shift leads, and customer service team members.
• Assist with interviews, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of staff.
• Ensure high-quality swim instruction and consistent execution of the swim curriculum.
• Build strong relationships with families by delivering exceptional customer service and resolving concerns professionally.
• Monitor class enrollment, staffing needs, and program capacity to support business goals.
• Conduct swim assessments and assist families with class placement recommendations.
• Enforce safety standards, policies, and emergency procedures at all times.
• Oversee daily facility operations, including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and communication related to operations, staff, and customer needs.
• Be involved with the curriculum by leading classes, performing evaluations, and structuring in-service meetings.

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in the daily operation and success of the swim school. This position supports the Chief of Staff by leading staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining safety standards, overseeing daily operations, and driving enrollment and retention goals. The Assistant Manager serves as a coach, problem-solver, and leader who helps create a positive experience for both families and employees.
