Job summary

The Center for Disability Services in the Capital Region is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations at a residence, working with Direct Care Staff and the people we support under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of related experience in developmental disabilities, mental illness, traumatic brain injuries or geriatrics.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational needs of a residence, overseeing Direct Care Staff and the people we support as directed by the Program Manager.
• Provide direct care to residents of the residence.
• Assist the Program Manager in supervising Direct Care Staff, ensuring adequate staffing ratios and quality service delivery.
