Job summary

Windsor Fashions is seeking an Assistant Manager in Poughkeepsie to lead a team of fashion specialists and drive store performance. You will work closely with the Store Manager to execute daily operations, coaching staff, and ensuring an exceptional Omni‑channel Oasis experience for customers.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail management experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

As a Windsor Assistant Manager you are a key member of our store leadership team. You support the team in driving our mission statement in your store. You are responsible, in partnership with your Store Manager, for achieving store productivity in terms of sales, shrink, payroll and expenses. You coach and motivate a high‑performing team of fashion‑loving Stylists while treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

What you do:

• Drive sales to ensure the overall success of the store and build brand loyalty by providing an omni‑channel Oasis experience to every customer.
• Support the Store Manager in finding the right talent, continuously expanding the talent pool and ensuring an exceptional onboarding experience.
• Organize and plan in detail to get the job done, own the sales floor and execute daily operations to create the Oasis for your customers.
• Partner with the Store Manager to supervise, train and coach your team, communicate clearly, recognize performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Follow all Windsor policy and procedures, maintaining integrity at all times.
• Support the execution of the Windsor Merchandising Directive, maintain a neat, clean and tidy store in compliance with visual guidelines, and make smart merchandising decisions.
• Live and promote Windsor values, fostering a culture of respect, care, ownership and personal commitment.

Physical Demands

Frequently stands, walks, observes, bends and pushes. Must be able to count, communicate, read and write in English. Must be able to access all areas of the store including the sales floor, stock area and register area, operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store, climb ladders, move or handle merchandise or supplies that typically weigh from 0–25 pounds, and work varied hours/days to oversee store operations. Environment is fast‑paced and indoor temperature conditions vary.
