Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager in Carlisle, AR to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations. The role focuses on delivering a clean, safe, and efficient guest experience and leading a team to provide Great People service for a SuperSONIC experience.

You will hire, train, supervise, and coach staff, manage inventories and costs, and handle opening/closing duties. Flexibility for irregular hours, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Willingness to follow SONIC appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, training, supervising, managing, directing, and developing staff to deliver a SuperSONIC experience.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and repeat visits by providing quality service.
• Communicate the big picture and reasons behind tasks to the team.

• Complete weekly inventory as needed.
• Assist with administrative duties including filing and documentation.
• Respond to guest requests and resolve complaints respectfully.

As a SONIC Drive-In Assistant Manager, you are responsible for assisting the General Manager in managing the daily operations of the restaurant to provide quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner so that guests will have an enjoyable experience at the SONIC Drive-In.

Responsibilities include:

• Hiring, training, supervising, managing, directing, and developing Great People ready to serve a SuperSONIC experience to every guest
• Making every guest a repeat customer by ensuring the guest leaves the lot satisfied every time
• Helping employees understand the big picture and their role by sharing the why behind tasks
• Celebrating team successes and coaching for better performance
• Setting clear expectations and providing continuous feedback throughout shift
• Creating an upbeat, positive atmosphere during the shift that makes work fun
• Managing the majors: food and paper, labor, and guest service
• Performing restaurant opening and/or closing duties as needed
• Monitoring and making appropriate adjustments to staffing levels, inventory levels, and food cost control
• Completing weekly inventory as needed
• Assisting with administrative duties, including maintaining files, records, and required documentation
• Immediately and respectfully responding to guest requests and assisting in resolving guest complaints
• Maintaining and enforcing SONIC safety and sanitation standards
• Relentlessly complying with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
