Job summary

Jimmy John’s in Bloomington, Indiana seeks a shift manager to oversee daily operations with the General Manager and to help maintain an exceptional store experience for guests and staff. You will lead by example, ensure adherence to systems, and maintain a clean, efficient store during your shift.

You must be 18+, comfortable operating cash registers, handling cash, and using basic Microsoft tools; you will lift 30–40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

Shift managers help oversee in-store operations alongside the General Manager. The Manager plays a major role in ensuring the store is in exceptional order and that all employees are performing duties properly and efficiently. Managers must lead by example and execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity. As a Manager, your attitude needs to be enthusiastic, friendly, and positive.

Requirements:

• Responsible for customer product and service standards
• Create and maintain positive work environment culture
• Responsible for delivering an exceptional customer and store experience
• Must be sociable and outgoing with guests and employees
• Execute quality store operations
• Participate and lead in maintaining a clean store
• Must be able to operate food preparation machinery such as ovens, slicers, and food processors
• Adhere to all food, safety and security guidelines
• Must be able to operate cash register and handle cash transactions while adhering to all cash handling policies
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Understand how to use basic functions of Microsoft software
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly throughout shifts
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
• Ability to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F
