Job summary

Soma is seeking an Assistant Manager in Bellevue, WA to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering a seamless customer experience. You will foster a welcoming environment that reflects Soma's hospitality and brand standards, and you will help drive community connections through events and partnerships.

You will oversee day-to-day store operations, mentor associates, and participate in hiring and training while maintaining visual standards and a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• 18 years or older required.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to develop relationships with customers and peers.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work on the sales floor.

About The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in leading the team, building community connections, and creating a seamless customer experience. This position helps foster a welcoming environment—for both associates and customers that enables us to create memorable, personalized experiences that reflect our culture of hospitality.

• Take ownership to ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and execution of inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.

You’ll bring to the role

• Passion for our brand, fashion, and empowering confidence.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
