Job summary

Subway in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Assistant Manager to focus on guest experience, food quality, and overall restaurant operations. You will help lead a small team, ensure service excellence, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes supervising 4–12 staff, assisting in daily promotions and events, managing inventory, and training new hires to maintain safety and quality. This is a full-time/part-time position depending on location.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent guest experience and ensure quality service.

• Assist in staff scheduling and supervision.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
