Job Summary

Fairfield Property Management is currently seeking a motivated Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our team! As an Assistant Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that vacated apartments are restored to "market ready" condition on schedule, while also assisting with general maintenance tasks for the property's interior and exterior upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacated apartments and complete checklists regarding make-ready status.
• Perform duties related to make-ready/vacant units including general plumbing, basic electrical needs, drywall repairs, window screens and blinds repairs, light bulb replacements, light switch repairs, garbage disposals, ceiling fans, rekeying locks, etc.
• Install appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, toilets, sinks, vanities, and disposals; perform caulking, gutter, downspout repairs, and connect hoses.
• Replace light bulbs, broken globes, etc., in units and throughout the exterior as needed.
• Assist in the general upkeep by removing trash and debris from grounds.
• Perform pool maintenance including cleaning and chemical adjustments.
• Conduct all business in accordance with Fairfield Property Management's policies and procedures safely.
• Observe and report any unusual circumstances on the property.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment regularly.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of professional maintenance experience, preferably in residential property.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and pool maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing systems, and painting procedures.
• Ability to work an on-call schedule.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
