Assistant Maintenance Technician

Location: Tallahassee, FL 32301
Parking: Yes
Pay Rate: $21–$23/hour
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are actively seeking a seasoned and skilled Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our team. We prioritize the growth and development of our staff and offer an outstanding training program focused on cultivating strong leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance repairs, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents, including cleaning, repairs, and necessary upgrades.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety standards.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Possess reliable transportation for on-site duties.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, fellow associates, vendors, and supervisors.
  • Collaborate with the service team to enhance community curb appeal.

Requirements:
  • HVAC 608 Certification or equivalent.
  • Strong general knowledge of maintenance repairs.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Proficiency in electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a multi-family setting preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Bilingual a plus.
