Under the direction of the Branch Chief, Statewide Maintenance Stormwater Coordinator, and a Senior Transportation Engineer (supervisory), the incumbent assists with administrative oversight, technical guidance, data collection, and other activities related to the Department's NPDES Permit, SWMP, BMPs, and reporting and training requirements for the stormwater program. This role supports the Office of Maintenance Stormwater and Environmental Compliance in coordinating, developing, and managing compliance activities, analyzing designs and data, overseeing pilot projects, developing reports, and monitoring expenditures.

Location: 1120 N Street, Sacramento. Telework may be available at the Department's discretion. Travel and in-person reporting may be required based on operational needs. The rotation program for new hires involves multiple assignments across the state, with durations between 6-12 months.
Knowledge of maintenance functions, stormwater systems, environmental laws, and the Department’s BMPs. Ability to investigate, analyze, interpret plans, manage contracts, and communicate effectively. Proficiency in MS Office and related software is essential.
