Are you a skilled and proactive Assistant Maintenance Mechanic looking for a new opportunity?

Express is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and ensure that our client has smooth operation of their machinery and equipment. If you have a knack for troubleshooting and a passion for quality work, we want to hear from you!

Compensation - $16.00 – $19.00 per hour (depending on level of experience and skills)

Schedule: Monday – Friday – 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Must be available to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime or weekends, as needed.)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Read and interpret work orders, routers, and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately.
• Cut various materials, including fiberglass, PVC, aluminum, and others, using tools such as band saws, table saws, and drills.
• Operate bending equipment to shape materials as needed.
• Use spraying equipment for coating or finishing applications, ensuring high-quality results.
• Assist in general maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairs, under the guidance of senior maintenance staff.
• Use measuring tools, such as tape measures, to ensure precise measurements and cuts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Proactively identify potential maintenance issues and report them to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance or a
• related field is a plus.
• Must have a clean background
• Pass a drug screen
• Able to read tape measure and pass a measurement test
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Proven experience using band saws, table saws, drills, and bending equipment.
• Experience operating spraying equipment for coating or finishing tasks is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, routers, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in measuring tools, particularly tape measures, for accurate work.
• Experience cutting materials such as fiberglass, PVC, and aluminum.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift to 50+ lbs. stand for extended periods and perform hands-on tasks.
• Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Must be able to follow verbal directions and written process instructions.
• Must have a history of longevity in a job
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanically inclined with good manual capabilities and common sense.
