Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield Services is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee two CA sites, American Canyon and Oakley, ensuring peak performance at a major distribution hub.

You will lead maintenance teams, manage work orders, and drive safety and efficiency across sites with daily on-site presence and 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications

• Education: 4-year degree or 5 years of leadership experience in maintenance.
• Experience: 3+ years in a leadership role, managing maintenance teams and programs.
• Skills: Experience with conveyor systems and robotic maintenance management preferred.
• Multi-Site Experience is a Must!

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple locations and ensure maintenance operations meet high standards.
• On-site daily from Monday to Friday; visit each site twice weekly and be on call 24/7.
• Manage work orders, prioritize preventive/corrective maintenance, assign tasks.
• Conduct facility inspections, address safety hazards and ensure cleanliness.
• Lead and develop maintenance technicians, conduct performance reviews and training.
• Analyze maintenance data and generate reports for management.

We're looking for a dedicated Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee multiple local sites, one in American Canyon, CA and one in Oakley, CA, ensuring the smooth operation of one of the world’s largest distribution centers. A Typical Day Includes:

• Site Visits: Manage and oversee multiple locations ensuring each site meets high standards of maintenance and operational efficiency. The expectation is that you are on site daily Monday thru Friday. You must visit each site twice a week and engage with both the day (6am to 2pm) and nighttime (2pm to 10pm) shifts. As well as be on call 24/7 for both locations.
• Morning Briefing: Start your day with a team meeting to discuss priorities, review safety updates, and address any outstanding issues from previous shifts.
• Work Orders Management: Evaluate, prioritize, and delegate work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring tasks are assigned based on technician skills and availability.
• Facility Walkthroughs: Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and cleanliness standards.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, overseeing safety training, audits, and inspections to promote a culture of safety.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to drive improvements, generating reports and communicating findings to management and stakeholders.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to maintenance technicians, conduct performance evaluations, and lead training and development initiatives.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Salary: $95,000 - $116,000 per year, plus a 10% bonus incentive.
• Schedule: The expectation is that you are onsite daily Monday thru Friday. You must visit each site twice a week and engage with both the day (6am to 2pm) and nighttime (2pm to 10pm) shifts. As well as be on call 24/7 for both locations.
