Job description

Job Summary: Performs major repairs and preventative maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained. Manages the maintenance staff to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. Orders supplies as needed for the department.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room.
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly, including weed removal.
• Report any problems that would interfere with guest satisfaction.
• Keep the storage area clean daily and lock all storage areas before clocking out.
• Ensure sufficient housekeeping supplies on each floor and enough linens & supplies in stock.
• Verify that all exterior lights are working properly.
• Report and fix any safety hazards throughout the hotel.
• Ensure the stockroom has enough inventory to last at least two weeks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Hospitality experience.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent education and maintenance experience.
• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
