Fountain View at Logan Square is seeking an Assistant Director of Maintenance to help lead daily maintenance operations in a healthcare setting. You will supervise staff, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance for resident care areas.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
• Relevant licenses or certifications required where applicable.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Director of Maintenance with daily operations, staff coordination, and prioritizing repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems.
• Maintain boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify needs, safety concerns, and repairs.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors, and vendors to complete work efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and system documentation to support maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance docs.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and assist with on-call coverage.
• Provide oversight in the Director's absence.

Responsibilities for Assistant Director of Maintenance:

• Assist the Director of Maintenance with daily maintenance operations, staff coordination, and prioritizing repair needs.

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, building systems, and resident areas.

• Help maintain boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs, address safety concerns, and ensure timely repairs.

• Support compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.

• Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to complete work efficiently and with minimal disruption.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and system documentation to support maintenance and repairs.

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation.

• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and assist with on-call coverage as assigned.

• Provide departmental oversight in the Director of Maintenance’s absence.

Qualifications for Assistant Director of Maintenance:

• Prior maintenance experience required; supervisory experience preferred.

• Nursing home or healthcare facility experience preferred.

• HVAC certification strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
