Job Details: The Assistant Maintenance/HVAC Certified Technician is responsible for assisting in maintaining safety, appearance, and operational standards by servicing maintenance requests, completing residential maintenance tasks, and providing excellent customer service. Performance should align with the company's vision, service quality, and strategic initiatives to achieve operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain the property in an attractive, comfortable condition.
2. Assist with all types of maintenance and complete turnovers/make-readies of vacant units.
3. Handle maintenance emergencies on-call as scheduled.
4. Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
5. Perform plumbing, electrical repairs, lock rekeying, appliance repairs, and preventive maintenance.
6. Inspect grounds, buildings, and equipment regularly.
7. Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory properly.
8. Perform pool and spa maintenance as directed.
9. Follow safety procedures and attend training as required.
10. Provide superior customer service and embrace company core principles.
11. Report hazards and safety issues immediately.
12. Ensure OSHA compliance and secure property areas.
13. Assist with weather-related emergencies and maintain proper documentation.

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred.
• 1+ year experience in maintenance, hospitality, or similar field.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and pool maintenance a plus.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Flexibility for overtime, after-hours, weekends, and varied schedules.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as described.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws and fair housing regulations.

Equipment

• Various maintenance tools and equipment including propane torch, steam cleaner, leak detector, volt meter, boilers, air conditioners, etc.
