Assistant-Maintenance 2nd Shift (Maintenance)
General Summary:

Fills one of three roles in the maintenance administrative area: MRO Buyer, Planner/Scheduler, or Stores Clerk.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Review demand and initiate purchase orders for materials and/or services to meet maintenance schedules.
  2. Perform inventory analytics to ensure optimal levels and manage obsolete or defective inventory.
  3. Collaborate with the accounting team for proper fiscal reporting.
  4. Create work plans to meet quality and timeliness expectations.
  5. Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or other systems used.
  6. Improve planning methodology for preventive maintenance programs (PMO).
  7. Receive goods and record receipts against purchase orders.
  8. Ensure compliance with bin review and cycle count standards.
  9. Resolve inventory issues using CMMS or other systems.
  10. Control storeroom access and ensure stock issue procedures are followed.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  12. Follow safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  13. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality due to the collaborative nature of the work environment.
Job Specifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Good communication skills required for interaction with internal and external customers and personnel.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Refrigerated food manufacturing plant, office, and warehouse areas.
  • Environment may be wet or dry; temperatures range from 25°F to 110°F.
  • Occasional lifting, kneeling, and bending with items over 50 lbs.
