Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Machine Operator to support running equipment with setup, operation, quality checks and cleanup. You will collaborate to improve operations, inspect tooling, reduce waste and help meet cost, quality, and service goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of relevant experience; corrugated industry exposure is a plus. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to GBP quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year minimum relevant experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment accurately according to proper and safe setup techniques.
• Inspect tooling before and after run to ensure repairs are made before next run.
• Minimize material sheet, ink and adhesive waste; assist machine operator in running machines for efficiency and quality.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at available capacity and speed.
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs; complete daily/weekly clean-ups.
• Provide recommendations to optimize scheduling to meet cost, quality and service goals; perform continuous quality checks by sampling material.
• Abide by all company policies and safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to GBP quality policy to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
