Job summary

PAC Worldwide in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an Assistant Operator for the 3pm–11pm shift. You will load/unload rolls, assist with machine maintenance, and help with setup times to minimize downtime while ensuring quality and safety. This role supports production, data entry in D365, and accurate inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of manufacturing work history required or desired.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to understand and perform machine-specific preventative maintenance.
• Available for the 3pm–11pm shift as stated.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload rolls and finished product from the machine.
• Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment; participate in PM tasks.
• Assist with set-ups and minimize changeover times.
• Maintain budgeted scrap levels.
• Read and comprehend work orders.
• Complete data entry timely and accurately in Production Data Entry and D365 systems.
• Conduct proper housekeeping to ensure a safe, clean workspace.
• Understand raw materials and finished goods part numbers.
• Conduct accurate inventory counts.
• Other duties as assigned

What does an Assistant Operator do?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload rolls and finished product from the machine.
• Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment as well as partaking in preventative maintenance (PM) assignments.
• Assist with set‑ups and minimizing change over times.
• Maintain budgeted scrap levels.
• Read and comprehend work orders.
• Assist with the production of high-quality products to work order specifications. This includes but is not limited to: Dimensions, label & placard information, run speeds, roll size, identifying defects, etc.
• Read and comprehend work orders.
• Complete and apply roll tags.
• Complete data entry timely and accurately in the Production Data Entry and D365 systems.
• Conduct proper housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean workspace.
• Practice safe behavior with regards to equipment and tasks.
• Understand raw materials and finished goods part numbers.
• Conduct accurate inventory counts.
• Other duties as assigned
