Pratt Industries in Oklahoma City is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM). You will support machine setup, operation, changeovers, and cleanup while helping to maintain safe, efficient production.

You’ll monitor product quality, document activities, and assist with continuous improvement. This hands-on role emphasizes dependability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learning.

Job description

As an Assistant Machine Operator, you’ll help keep our production equipment running safely and efficiently by supporting machine setup, operation, changeovers, and cleanup. This hands-on role is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM). Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs

What You’ll Do

• Assist with machine setup, operation, changeovers, and cleanup.
• Monitor product quality and promptly report concerns.
• Support machine operators during production and changeovers to maintain efficient workflow.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for production.
• Complete required production, quality, and equipment documentation accurately.
• Submit maintenance requests when equipment concerns are identified.
• Cross-train on other machines and support team flexibility.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with additional responsibilities as business needs require.

What to Expect on the Job

This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll spend most of your shift on your feet, with frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting or moving materials weighing up to 40 pounds. You’ll work around moving mechanical equipment where noise, vibration, and airborne particles may be present. Our facility is not climate controlled, and temperatures can vary significantly throughout the year. Required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, protective footwear, and safety glasses, must be worn in designated production areas.
