Job summary

Professional Transportation Inc. in Minneapolis, MN seeks an Assistant Location Manager to oversee safe, efficient terminal operations. You will partner with the Terminal Manager to meet KPIs, develop staff, and coordinate with local rail officers and customers.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Terminal Manager to ensure KPIs are met and productivity metrics are optimized.
• Develop and drive staff engagement and retention.
• Build partnerships between PTI and local railroad officers.
• Act as main contact between PTI and customers.
• Enforce PTI rules, regulations and policies.
• Approach violations with care and administer disciplinary actions when required.
• Monitor and approve terminal purchases and manage within budget.
• Approve weekly time and attendance and ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure terminal staffing levels are adequate.
• Oversee training and orientation for all employees.
• Provide terminal metrics and reports as needed.
• Perform other administrative and non-administrative duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Terminal Manager to ensure KPIs are met, Train Performance, Lifts per Hour & Cost per Hour, etc.
• Develop and drive existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention
• Build collaborative partnerships between PTI and local railroad officers
• Act as key point of contact between PTI and our customers
• Enforce and uphold all PTI rules, regulations, and policies
• Approach violations with care and administer disciplinary actions when required
• Monitor and approve terminal purchases for payment & manage purchases within budget
• Approve weekly time & attendance and ensures data is accurate
• Ensure the terminal is fully staffed
• Responsible for the training and orientation process of all employees
• Provides terminal metrics & reports as needed
• Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)
