Position Summary

The Tennis Assistant Manager assists the Tennis Manager in the overall direction, coordination, and supervision of the Tennis Department. They help ensure Tennis Pros achieve or exceed monthly revenue goals and assist in maintaining the department's business plan and budget.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure student satisfaction and motivation.
2. Monitor, demonstrate, and instruct students during lessons on proper form, techniques, and strategies.
3. Observe and assess student performance to correct mistakes.
4. Assist with training and developing staff through orientations, guidance, and feedback.
5. Assign Tennis Pros to classes and lessons; assist with payroll.
6. Help ensure each Tennis Pro achieves or exceeds monthly revenue and lesson goals.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching tennis lessons.
• USPTA and/or PTR certification.
• CPR and AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Requirements

• College degree in Sports and Recreation or related field.
