Job summary

Chariton Valley Association in Kirksville, MO is seeking an Assistant Lead Support Professional to assist the Lead Support Professional in supervising Direct Support Professionals and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve independence.

You will help provide physical and emotional support, ensure safety and regulatory documentation, participate in trainings, and maintain a positive, client-centered living environment, including on-call coverage on

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some supervisory or management experience preferred.
• One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Direct Support Professionals by supervising and training team members.
• Schedule and support team members; administer performance evaluations and manage time-off requests.
• Maintain health and regulatory documentation for individuals and the team; participate in trainings and meetings.
• Communicate professionally with kindness and act as a role model for the team.
• Assist in on-call coverage and ensure safety and quality of care for individuals.
