Job summary

R365hire is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Kitchen Manager. You will oversee line stations, ensure proper setup and breakdown, and manage shifts to meet productivity goals.

You will train staff and ensure food is prepared to recipe standards and served on time. The role requires a 21+ age, a valid food handler certificate, and physical ability to stand, lift, and move heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age with legal identification.
• Must possess food handler certification.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, and climb stairs.
• Lifts 50–60 pounds; move cases of food, beverage, and merchandise.
• Capable of standing during entire shift, if needed.
• Frequent immersion of hands in water about every 5 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen staff including Line Cooks, Lead Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Dishwasher.
• Manage staff schedule by shift to ensure proper staffing and productivity goals.
• Train kitchen personnel as directed by Kitchen Manager and/or General Manager.
• Responsible for food production, batch cookery, and line cooking as appropriate.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures are followed and food is prepared to spec.
