Job summary

National Cathedral School is seeking an Assistant Director of Information Technology to lead network, security, and enterprise systems for a grades 4–12 campus. You will manage campus infrastructure, coordinate with IT and academic tech teams, and support faculty with devices, VoIP, and AV systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration across educational, administrative, and facilities teams, with a focus on reliable operations and proactive technology enhancements for student learning.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise network infrastructure (switching, wireless, firewalls, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience maintaining enterprise AV systems in large spaces and classrooms.
• Proficiency in Apple and Microsoft device environments.
• Ability to support campus safety systems (access control and cameras).
• Proactive approach to technology that supports teaching and learning (grades 4–12).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across education, administration, business and facilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for documentation, presentations, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Information and Academic Technology and collaborate with IT and academic tech, instruction, and PD teams.
• Lead network administrator responsibilities, safeguarding security, reliability, and operations; assist with cybersecurity and disaster recovery.
• Oversee key enterprise solutions including HPE Aruba, Sophos, Mosyle, Zoom, Google Workspace, and safety systems (Verkada, AlertUS).
• Provide escalation-level help-desk assistance and advanced troubleshooting campus-wide.
• Maintain availability after hours when required to ensure uninterrupted critical operations.
