Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship/related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in quantitative problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering tools experience.
• TWIC card required or ability to obtain.
• EIT Certification required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Campus/community involvement preferred.
• Authorized to work permanently in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing instrumentation deliverables (Instrument Index, Data Sheets, Installation Details).
• Assist with control systems (DCS/PLC) data sheets.
• Assist with I&C deliverables: I/O lists, process narratives, sketches, cause/effect diagrams, alarm rationalization; support FAT.
• Assist with I&C purchase specs; review bids and vendor documentation.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering on P&ID development.
• Assist with process measurements (temperature, pressure, flow, level, analyzers).
• Utilize various I&C technologies to select appropriate application.
• Assist with preliminary sizing for instruments (orifice plates, control valves, relief valves, thermowells).
• Develop level sketches with multiple departments.
• Comply with safety policies and project standards.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
