CCCSD, in conjunction with Black Rocket Productions, is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as Assistant Instructors to help teach exciting classes like ROBLOX, Video Game Design, Minecraft, and MORE!

An Assistant Instructor must be at least 18 years of age by May 2025. This is a perfect job for undergrad students with summers off who want to teach children various types of new technology. Assistant Instructors are responsible, along with Lead Instructors, for the well-being and education of the students. Experience working with children and/or the technology used in class is preferred. Classroom management skills are valued. Upon completion of the Black Rocket training program, instructors must demonstrate competency in the core concepts and software used. This is a seasonal position for the month of July.

Get paid to build your resume and have fun! Each new hire will attend an online training program to learn the curriculum and the Black Rocket approach. Training begins in May 2025.

Most positions are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, from July 7th through August 1st.

PLEASE NOTE: All instructors are required to possess or obtain a NYS Fingerprint Clearance for this role due to working with minors.

Experience and Skills

General Requirements:

Located within commuting distance of Churchville, NY, and have reliable transportation.

Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required.

Strong technology skills are preferred, such as 3D modeling, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox.

Available to complete online training in May (train at your own pace).

Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer accommodations or work sponsorship.

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 2 weeks, Monday through Friday.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Able to commit to a full week of work, M-F, approximately 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.

College students studying education, computer science, digital arts, information technology, or similar fields are encouraged to apply.

Those with strong tech or digital arts and troubleshooting skills will be most successful in this position.

Experience with kids in a formal or informal setting, such as babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring, etc., is a plus.

The hourly rate for an Assistant Instructor is $18.50.
