Job summary

Busy Bees in Laveen, AZ, is seeking a Lead Teacher to partner with families and fellow teachers to create a welcoming, home-like environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years.

You will develop developmentally appropriate activities aligned with NAC and AZ Early Learning Standards, ensure safety, communicate with parents, and support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years of age.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAC standards & the AZ Early Learning Standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

As a Lead Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to Early Learning Leaders NAC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years of age.
• Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAC standards & the AZ Early Learning Standards.
