POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for maintaining guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner according to cleaning and safety protocols. They will also coordinate daily housekeeping operations and maintain standards. The floor supervisor inspects guest rooms to ensure high guest satisfaction and may assist in various activities/projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms.
  • Inspect the cleanliness of guest hallways.
  • Assign special projects as directed by leadership.
  • Report repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.
  • Ensure all GRAs have appropriate supplies and linens.
  • Assist in cleaning guest rooms when necessary.
  • Process AM and PM room status reports.
  • Maintain neat linen carts and fully stocked linen closets.
  • Keep supply cage stock neat and clean.
  • Ensure guest rooms are punched in after completion.
  • Hold guest room doors open with door stoppers when needed.
  • Inspect VIP rooms ASAP.
  • Prioritize check-out rooms.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities and events.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (desirable).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Well-groomed, clean, and neat appearance.
  • Previous housekeeping experience required.

Physical Demands:

  • Perform strenuous activities including standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and manipulating objects for over 4 hours a day.
  • Lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
