The Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire is a resort hotel in the countryside, just 10 minutes from the town of Fleet and Farnham and 45 minutes from London. About the role:

As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will support the smooth operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring that the cleanliness, upkeep, and presentation of our hotel meets Four Seasons’ world-class standards. This role is vital in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team engagement.

What you will do:

  1. Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department.
  2. Ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet established cleanliness and presentation standards.
  3. Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure high levels of performance and efficiency.
  4. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  6. Address guest concerns and requests regarding housekeeping services in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Monitor and track housekeeping schedules to ensure all tasks are completed within required timeframes.
  8. Support the Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, payroll, and reporting.
  9. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  10. Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of housekeeping staff.
  11. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth and seamless operations.

What you will bring:

  1. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management position.
  2. Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, housekeeping procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  3. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  4. Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
  6. Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner.
  7. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  8. Basic computer skills (familiarity with housekeeping management software is a plus).
