Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Home Shopping operations including order selection and pickup preparation.
• Coordinate workloads to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and within established timeframes.
• Monitor order volume and adjust staffing or assignments based on business needs.
• Train, coach, and provide direction to Home Shopping associates on proper procedures and service expectations.
• Ensure associates select high-quality products and follow proper substitution procedures when requested items are unavailable.
• Review completed orders for accuracy, quality, organization, and proper staging.
• Help resolve customer concerns, order discrepancies, missing items, substitutions, and other service issues.
• Promote friendly, professional, and timely service during customer pickup interactions.
• Ensure refrigerated, frozen, and temperature-sensitive products are properly handled and stored.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe shopping, staging, storage, and pickup areas.
• Monitor the use of handheld devices and other Home Shopping technology to ensure orders are processed correctly.
• Work closely with other store departments to locate merchandise, address out-of-stock items, and support order fulfillment.
• Assist with scheduling, breaks, workflow planning, and daily department priorities as directed by management.
• Support department productivity, order accuracy, customer satisfaction, and service goals.
• Follow and reinforce company policies regarding food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and loss prevention.
• Perform Home Shopper duties when necessary to support department operations.
• Assist the Home Shopping Manager with additional department responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Position Summary

The Assistant Home Shopping Manager supports the Home Shopping Manager in overseeing daily eCommerce operations, ensuring customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The Assistant Home Shopping Manager works throughout the store, including sales floors, backrooms, refrigerated and freezer areas, order staging locations, and designated customer pickup areas. The position requires frequent interaction with customers, associates, department leaders, and store management while balancing leadership responsibilities with the department's daily operational needs.
