Albertsons Companies is hiring an Assistant Home Shopping Manager to support eCommerce and online grocery operations across our Longview, TX area locations. You will help lead a team responsible for picking, staging, and dispensing customer orders while upholding high standards of service and accuracy.

• Ensure online orders are picked, staged, and prepared accurately.
• Monitor fulfillment processes to maintain productivity and service standards.
• Deliver exceptional service to online customers during pickup and delivery.
• Monitor department performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Ensure product availability and proper handling of refrigerated, frozen, and perishable items.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and cleanliness across staging and pickup areas.

Position Purpose

The Assistant Home Shopping Manager supports the Home Shopping Manager in overseeing all aspects of eCommerce and online grocery operations. This position assists in leading associates responsible for picking, staging, and dispensing customer orders while ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, order accuracy, and achievement of department performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

Department Leadership

• Assist the Home Shopping Manager in directing daily eCommerce operations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Home Shopping associates.
• Assume department leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Home Shopping Manager.
• Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and workload distribution.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service excellence.

Order Fulfillment

• Ensure online customer orders are selected, staged, and prepared accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor order fulfillment processes to maintain productivity and service standards.
• Ensure product substitutions meet company guidelines and customer expectations.
• Verify order completeness and accuracy before customer pickup or delivery.
• Monitor order volume and staffing needs throughout the day.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional service to online customers during pickup and order resolution interactions.
• Address customer concerns, order issues, and service opportunities promptly and professionally.
• Build customer loyalty by ensuring a seamless and convenient shopping experience.
• Support customer communication regarding substitutions, order changes, and service inquiries.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor department performance metrics, including order accuracy, fulfillment times, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure department readiness and operational efficiency throughout all shifts.
• Support implementation of company eCommerce initiatives and operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, and service levels.

Merchandising & Inventory

• Ensure product availability and communicate out-of-stock concerns to store leadership.
• Partner with department managers to improve inventory accuracy and in-stock conditions.
• Monitor product quality and freshness standards for all customer orders.
• Ensure proper handling of refrigerated, frozen, and perishable items.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Promote a safe working environment and proper equipment usage.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of staging, storage, and pickup areas.
• Ensure associates follow all safety and compliance requirements.
