McBride Quality Care Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and compassionate Assistant Home Manager to support the daily operations of a residential program serving youth. The Assistant Home Manager provides direct supervision and care to residents while providing leadership and oversight to Youth Development Workers (YDW).
This position works closely with the Program Director to ensure residents receive consistent, safe, and supportive care in accordance with established treatment plans, program policies, and agency standards.
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Some college or a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience
At least one year of experience working with youth in a residential/child care institution, child-placing agency, educational setting, or a related environment preferred.
Relevant life experience or other child care experience may be considered.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
Must successfully complete required agency training.
50 hours of training are required during the first year and 25 hours annually thereafter. Training is provided by the agency.
Must demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, dependability, and the ability to work effectively with youth and staff.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or other hours as program needs require.
The Assistant Home Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, care, and support of residents and provides oversight of Youth Development Workers. Responsibilities include:
Implement and support established resident treatment plans.
Complete resident admissions/intakes and discharges.
Supervise and participate in resident programming and activities.
Provide guidance, direction, and oversight to Youth Development Workers.
Ensure household and program responsibilities are completed appropriately.
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for residents.
Monitor and enforce program expectations and behavioral standards.
Ensure medications are administered and documented according to established policies and procedures.
Complete required documentation, including incident reports, shift notes, intake/discharge paperwork, medication logs, and other resident records.
Communicate appropriately with clinical and community partners regarding resident needs.
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other required activities.
Prepare and serve meals and snacks as needed.
Follow all agency policies, procedures, safety requirements, and licensing standards.
Provide administrative and supervisory oversight of the program and YDW staff in the Program Director's absence.
Maintain professional conduct, appearance, communication, and boundaries at all times.
Exercise sound professional judgment when interacting with youth both within the program and in the community.
Complete other duties as assigned by agency leadership.

This is a hands-on residential position that requires active engagement with youth and staff throughout the shift. The Assistant Home Manager must be flexible and prepared to respond to changing resident and program needs.
Same Day/Next Day Pay Available – Access your earned wages before payday.
$0.50 per Hour Shift Premium for all hours worked between 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
