Qualifications

• Preferred prior coaching or athletic experience in track and field.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and positively connect with middle school-aged students.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must pass a background check per district requirements.
• Valid PTSB coaching license or willingness to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and lead engaging practices for all track and field events.
• Teach fundamental athletic skills focusing on safety and proper technique.
• Manage team logistics including meet schedules and transportation.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
• Supervise athletes at practices and meets.
• Foster a supportive and respectful team environment.
• Ensure compliance with school and district policies.
