Job summary

Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking an Assistant Cheer Coach. This part-time position offers a coaching stipend and involves after-school and weekend hours, along with travel with student-athletes to matches.

Responsibilities include knowledge of VHSL rules, developing and training athletes, preparing practice schedules, and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Experience coaching is required, and preference will be given to applicants with or eligible for a Virginia

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations.
• Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes.
• Personal skills reflecting positive relations with student-athletes, parents and the community.
• Extensive knowledge of fundamentals of the listed sports; organize and prepare practice schedules.
• Previous coaching experience required; teaching license preferred/eligible.

Responsibilities

• After school and weekend hours.
• Coaching and supervision of cheer activities.
• Travel with student-athletes to matches.
• Maintain discipline and promote teamwork and sportsmanship.
