Assistant Head Teller - Quakertown Commons Office (Supermarket Branch)

The Assistant Head Teller supports the Head Teller in leading and guiding the bank's teller staff to ensure outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include training staff, managing branch cash needs, overseeing transactions, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The role also involves supervising the teller area, coaching staff, and stepping in as acting branch manager when necessary.

Key Duties:

  1. Model Q2 Service and Sales programs to meet or exceed goals.
  2. Support the Head Teller in all initiatives and branch operations.
  3. Build customer relationships through courteous and professional service.
  4. Evaluate customer needs and refer to appropriate products/services.
  5. Open, close, and service deposit products; handle loans.
  6. Assist in supervising teller staff, including work assignments and development.
  7. Manage branch cash, ATM, vault, and reconciliation processes.
  8. Ensure compliance with all operational, security, and regulatory policies.
  9. Conduct audits and oversee daily cash balancing.
  10. Train and develop tellers on products, services, and procedures.
  11. Act as branch manager in the absence of the Head Teller.
  12. Open and close the branch as needed, including holidays and weekends.
  13. Complete compliance training and participate in community involvement.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years teller experience.
  • Strong knowledge of bank products, services, and policies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • PA Notary and Medallion Signature Certification preferred.
  • Compliance with S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act and related regulations.
