theatreWashington is seeking a Costume Assistant for a summer position running from June 19 to August 10. The role involves assisting in the design and creation of costumes for five productions and training high school students in sewing skills. The position offers a salary of $350-$500 per week plus room and board, with design fees for additional work considered separately. Job description

$350-$500/week plus room and board for 7-8 weeks.

Assists in creating costumes for our 5 productions, and in training a small crew of high school students to assist you by teaching basic to intermediate sewing skills. The production schedule is very tight; hence, most of the costumes will be altered from our existing stock of 4,000+. The Assistant Head often designs one or two of the plays. Design fees are in addition to the base salary.

Dates: Jun 19 – Aug 10.
Location: In residence at Christchurch Boarding School in Saluda, VA.
