Job summary

Red Rabbit is seeking an Assistant Head Chef in Philadelphia to manage daily operations of an In-School kitchen, serving 300-500 students with a focus on safety and quality. The role is second in command to the Head Chef and offers stable hours aligned to a teacher’s schedule.

You will lead production, train the kitchen team, and support administration while upholding NSLP guidelines and ensuring excellent student meals. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Associate degree in culinary arts is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily breakfast, lunch and snack for 300-500 students.
• Maintain a food-safe kitchen, quality-control items and inventory.
