Job summary

The Little Gym is opening a brand new location in Bethesda, MD and seeks a driven Assistant Manager to ensure our program is taught to The Little Gym International standards. You will spend about 60% of time teaching while also leading day-to-day operations and building a top-notch team focused on outstanding customer service.

Ideal candidates have gymnastics coaching experience, enjoy working with kids, and can commit to weekend and evening hours.

Qualifications

• Prior gymnastics coaching experience.
• Professional experience working with kids.
• Available to work one weekend day consistently.
• Available to work some evenings consistently.

Responsibilities

• Know and understand The Little Gym philosophy and program. Communicate information correctly and professionally to parents.
• Assist the Gym Director and Program Director in the training of Instructors and maintaining and building student enrollment.
• Conduct great The Little Gym classes while ensuring that all classes are high energy and fun.
• Social media and marketing coordination for the gym.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Gym Director.

A The Little Gym Assistant Manager works very closely with the Gym Director, and is primarily responsible for ensuring that The Little Gym program is taught according to the extremely high standards established by The Little Gym International in every class, every day. A typical Assistant Manager spends approximately 60% of their time teaching, with the balance of their time devoted to day-to-day operations and to building a top-notch team of individuals who are 100% committed to providing outstanding customer service.

Typical responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

A background in child development, physical education and/or gymnastics is certainly a plus and prior management and/or strong customer service experience is preferred. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are required.
