Job summary

The Assistant Gym Manager at PureGym Group supports day-to-day club operations and helps cultivate a great place to work and work out for the team and members. This full-time role works alongside the Gym Manager to uphold service standards and ensure safety throughout the facility.

You will help recruit and onboard staff, develop team members, and maintain cleanliness and organization across all gym areas. CPR/AED certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire to complete a safe,

Qualifications

• Proven leadership ability in a fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable
• Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry
• Ability to successfully obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire

Job Overview:

The key function of the Assistant Gym Manager will be to help the Gym Manager run the day-to-day operations of the club. The Assistant Gym Manager will be an active participant of the team and will play a key part in creating a great place to work – and workout – for the team throughout the entire gym & the members of PureGym.

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time position, involved with everything from member experience to team development, you will support the Gym Manager in the following:

• Deliver an excellent member experience in the club through a constant focus on service and standards, alongside the Gym Manager
• Assist the Gym Manager in recruitment of Personal Trainers and Gym Floor Associates and work with the Gym Manager to help onboard all new team members.
