Job summary

Organic Growers Alliance in Cheshire is seeking an Assistant Grower to join a small, productive 6-acre market garden. This hands-on role works closely with the head grower and a small team across vegetables, microgreens, and cut flowers sold via farm shop, sister restaurant, and on-site café.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a commercial market garden.
• Strong practical horticultural skills and attention to detail.

• Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with sowing, planting, crop care, and harvesting.
• Supporting production and harvesting of microgreens grown indoors for wholesale.
• Helping establish, maintain, and harvest British seasonal cut flowers.
• Preparing produce for sale through farm shop, restaurant, and café.
• Bed preparation, irrigation, and crop maintenance.
• Supporting seasonal planning and crop organisation; maintaining crop quality.
