Job summary

Organic Growers Alliance is seeking capable assistant growers to join our expanding team. You will work with lead growers to plant, maintain and harvest a range of vegetables, herbs, microgreens and cut flowers using low-till and organic methods.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday with one Saturday a month in rotation; we offer flexible hours to suit seasonal needs. A positive, energetic approach is essential as we strive for high-quality produce for our restaurant partners and our Farm

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in outdoor growing, horticulture or indoor growing.
• Good knowledge of plant propagation, growth and cultivation.
• Good knowledge of mixed vegetable production.
• The ability to carry out horticultural tasks quickly and efficiently.
• Working in the garden is a physically demanding job.
• Experience in a market garden setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead growers to grow, maintain and harvest our range of high-quality produce using low-till and organic principles.
• Help maintain the site to a high standard and work with the team to meet seasonal targets.
• Contribute to the production of vegetables, herbs, microgreens and cut flowers.
